Next Generation Football Club (NextGen FC) uses the Environment Canada Predicted Humidex Reading when deciding whether soccer will be canceled due to high temperatures.
Humidex Policy: If the humidex is predicted to be 40 degrees Celsius or greater three hours before the session, it will be canceled. There will be no rescheduling of practices or games.
Severe Weather and Lightning Policy: If a severe thunderstorm warning is issued for safety, the session will be canceled. There will be no rescheduling of practices or games. In most cases, program sessions will still be on if it is raining, unless notified otherwise. However, as soon as we hear thunder or see lightning, the session will be stopped, and you should quickly make your way to a safe location.
The safety of players, coaches, and spectators is of utmost importance during program sessions, games, and tournaments. As soon as we hear thunder or see lightning, please get to a safe location quickly.

Notification of Cancellation due to Weather Conditions: NextGen FC Administrators will email participants two hours prior to the event if there are any cancellations due to weather or field conditions. If at any time you have any concerns concerning weather conditions, please do what is in the best interest of your child.
NextGen FC reserves the right to modify this policy for programs, games, and tournaments.
